Saree is the most elegant traditional attire of India and it brings out and also defines the beauty of a woman which brings out the grace and elegance in a woman. It reflects a true essence of an Indian woman. Saree is worn in different style by every woman. In every state, saree is worn in different styles. The pattern, designs and the material also differs from one state to the another. The greatest influence of people are Bollywood films, T.V. Serials, fashion show, etc. And because of this influence the pattern, trend and also the style of wearing sarees has changed a lot.
Sarees are worn according to the appropriate season, climate, situation, festivals, functions and occasions. For example, in summer, women wear sarees made of cotton cloth, in wedding, women wear, Georgette Sarees, Embroidery Sarees, Chiffon Sarees, Printed Sarees,etc. There are also different styles of wearing a saree in different states on India: Gujarati style, Bengali style, Coorgi style, Maharashtrian Nauvari style, Gond style, Nivi style, Tribal style, Oriya style, etc. There are also different types of sarees: Georgette silk and chiffon sarees, cotton sarees, art silk sarees, Chikan, Banarasi, etc. Sarres are worn by keeping in mind the body type, skin color and height also.
Now-a-days, sarees are also worn by air hostesses during their official work time. Saree is also considered to be an official attire and it is also made compulsory in many places. This is because the look of a woman in saree is more appreciated. Now, sarees are decorated with diamonds, golds, pearls, and other precious stones that also make saree expensive.
Indian sarees are also used in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Indian women residing in all over the world wear sarees as it is the traditional dressing of India and it is the most elegant attire of the world.
